FII & DII activity on 02/05/2025

Let’s break down what FII & DII 's did in the Indian stock market today: DII – Domestic Institutional Investors These are big investors from within India, like Indian mutual funds, insurance companies, and banks. -They bought shares worth ₹13,906.16 crores. -They sold shares worth ₹10,615.67 crores. -Net Buying = ₹3,290.49 crores. This means DIIs were positive about the market and invested more than they sold. FII/FPI – Foreign Institutional Investors These are investors from outside India, like foreign mutual funds or hedge funds. -They bought shares worth ₹18,130.19 crores. -They sold shares worth ₹15,360.38 crores. -Net Buying = ₹2,769.81 crores. FIIs also put in more money than they took out, showing interest in Indian stocks. Why is this important? When both DIIs and FIIs are net buyers, it usually shows strong confidence in the market. This can be a good sign for investors. In simple terms: Big players are buying more than they’re selling – that’s generally a positive signal for the stock market.
