GAIL Q1 FY26 β Sales Flat, Profits Under Pressure π»
GAIL (India) delivered a muted performance in Q1 FY26. While sales grew marginally by 2% YoY to βΉ35,311 crore, profitability took a hit. EBITDA fell 23% YoY to βΉ3,669 crore, and net profit dropped 26% to βΉ2,382 crore, down from βΉ3,183 crore last year. EPS also declined 26% to βΉ3.60 from βΉ4.84, highlighting weaker bottom-line performance. Despite a large market cap of βΉ1,19,700 crore and a low PE ratio of 12.3, the profit pressure raises concerns on operational efficiency and margin compression.
