GRSE Secures $62.4M Global Deal to Build Eco-Friendly Cargo Ships for Germany

Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers (GRSE), a government-owned shipyard in Kolkata, has signed a $62.4 million contract with Germany’s Carsten Rehder company. What’s in the deal? • GRSE will build 4 big multi-purpose cargo ships (120m long, 17m wide). • Option to build 2 more ships in future. • These ships can carry 7,500 tonnes of cargo in one go.
