How to Spot a Strong Breakout Setup....π
A stock moving above resistance can attract attention, but the entry matters just as much as the breakout itself. Start by marking a price zone where the stock has faced selling pressure several times. This becomes the resistance area to watch. Next, look for a breakout above that zone. A rise in volume adds strength to the move because it shows increased trading activity alongside the price rise. After the breakout, the stock may come back towards the same zone. This is called a retest. If buying interest appears near the old resistance, traders can assess the setup for a possible entry. Before entering, decide the stop-loss level, calculate the position size and check whether the potential reward justifies the risk. Avoid chasing a stock after a sharp move without a clear plan. A breakout is easier to trade when the level, volume, entry and risk are all planned in advance.
