Jupiter Wagons wins ₹113 Cr Railway Order – What it Means for the Stock?
Jupiter Wagons will be in news today because its subsidiary company has won a new order worth Rs 113 crore from the Ministry of Railways. 👉 This order is for supplying 9,000 axles used in special train bogies (FIAT-IR Bogies). 👉 Just last month, the same subsidiary got another big order of Rs 215 crore for supplying wheelsets for the Vande Bharat trains. But on the financial side, things have not been very strong recently. • In the first quarter (Apr–Jun 2025), the company’s profit fell 63% to Rs 32.86 crore compared to Rs 89.23 crore last year. • The stock price has already fallen 22% in the last 3 months. Current stock details: • Last close: Rs 319.20 • 52-week high: Rs 588.00 (Dec 2024) • 52-week low: Rs 270.20 (Mar 2025) • Market cap: Rs 13,550 crore approx. How can this affect the stock? Winning a fresh order is always a positive sign because it shows demand for the company’s products. It gives revenue visibility for the future. However, since the company’s profit has dropped a lot in the recent quarter and the stock has already corrected sharply from its highs, the impact may not be very big immediately. This new order is good news, but the stock’s movement will also depend on whether the company can improve its profit margins in coming quarters.
