Nazara is a gaming and sports media company in India. Recently, the Government banned real-money online gaming (games where people bet or play with money). Nazara had earlier planned to buy a small remaining stake (0.98%) in a company called Moonshine Technology. But after the ban, the business outlook for such gaming companies became uncertain. So, on August 31, Nazara cancelled the deal. It officially sent a notice to the seller, I3 Interactive Inc, to end the agreement. In simple terms: Nazara dropped its plan to buy more of Moonshine because the government banned real-money gaming.
