NCC Hit with 2-Year NHAI Tender Ban; Says Ongoing Projects Unaffected

NCC and its step-down subsidiary O B Infrastructure have been debarred by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) from participating in any new tenders or bids for two years, effective February 17, 2026. The company stated that it is reviewing the order and will take appropriate legal steps, while clarifying that the ban will not impact its existing projects or current order book. On the financial front, NCC reported a 36.6% YoY decline in net profit to ₹122.46 crore for the December quarter, while revenue fell 8.9% to ₹4,868.29 crore. In the previous session, the stock closed at ₹149.45, down 1.77%. The 52-week high is ₹242 and the low is ₹138.50. Currently, the stock is about 38% below its high and around 8% above its low. With a market capitalisation of about ₹9,383 crore, the debarment is a negative near-term development, though ongoing projects remain unaffected.
