Pre Market Analysis | 29 July, 2026

Global cues are mostly positive this morning. US Markets The Dow Jones gained over 1%, supported by strong earnings from several companies. The Nasdaq closed slightly lower, as weakness in semiconductor stocks continued. 🌏 Asian Markets Asian markets are mixed. 🟢 Hang Seng is trading higher. 🔴 Nikkei, Taiwan and KOSPI are under pressure. Even with this, GIFT Nifty is indicating around a 240-point gap-up, suggesting a strong start for Indian markets. 🛢️ Crude Oil Brent crude is trading near $87.4. That's still well below last week's high of $100+, which is a positive sign for India. 🏭 India IIP Data One thing that stood out yesterday was the IIP data. Industrial production grew 7.3% in June, much higher than the 5.6% the market was expecting. That's a positive signal for the economy. 💻 IT Stocks Infosys ADR gained more than 5.5% overnight, which could keep the IT sector in focus today. 💵 Rupee The rupee is trading around 95.9 against the US dollar. It has recovered from recent lows but is still at relatively weak levels. Today's View The setup looks positive. Strong IIP data, a healthy GIFT Nifty and lower crude prices are all supporting the market. The only weak spot is pressure in some Asian markets. If Nifty can hold the gap-up after the opening, 24,000 will be the first level many traders will be watching.
