Pre Market Analysis & Global Cues | 07 July, 2026

Global cues are giving mixed signals this morning. US markets ended higher, with the Dow closing at a fresh record high. Technology stocks also remained strong, helping the Nasdaq finish more than 1% higher. Asian markets, however, are mixed. South Korea is down sharply, while Taiwan and Singapore are trading in green. Gift Nifty is indicating a mildly positive start of around 50 points for Nifty. Apart from the global cues, a few stocks could stay in focus today: Cochin Shipyard: after the government launched an OFS to sell up to 5.04% stake at a floor price of ₹1,400 per share. Titan: after reporting 41% YoY growth in its consumer business for the June quarter, supported by strong store expansion. Trent: after reporting 19% YoY growth in quarterly revenue. Varun Beverages: after its Kenya subsidiary agreed to acquire the dairy, juice and packaged water business of Devyani Food Industries (Kenya) for $32 million. Private banks like HDFC Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank and Bandhan Bank may remain active after their quarterly business updates showed healthy growth in advances and deposits. Auto stocks such as Maruti Suzuki, Bajaj Auto and TVS Motor may also stay in focus after better than expected June wholesale sales. India's 10-year bond yield has eased further to around 6.70%, while the rupee is trading near 95.4 against the dollar. Brent crude is around $72.7. There are no major domestic economic events scheduled today, so stock-specific news and global markets are likely to drive the session. For today, the opening looks positive. The important part will be whether Nifty can hold those gains after the opening bell and see broader participation across sectors.
