Pre Market Analysis & Global cues: 15 May, 2026

Global markets are mixed this morning. US markets closed strong overnight, but Asian markets are weak, especially Korea which is seeing heavy selling. For India, the main issue is still crude oil and rupee weakness. Brent crude is again above $107 because of Middle East tensions and supply worries. Rupee is also moving closer to 96 against the dollar, which is not good for India since we import a lot of crude oil. Gift Nifty is showing a slightly weak opening after yesterday’s strong rally. Today market will mainly watch whether banks and large cap stocks continue supporting the market or if profit booking spreads further.
