Pre Market Analysis & Global cues - 19 May. 2026

Global markets are a bit all over the place today. High oil prices and rising interest rates are still the main things dragging the mood down. The US tech market and Asian markets dropped, showing investors are nervous, even though our Gift Nifty is pointing to a slightly green start. The biggest headaches right now are oil and the falling Rupee. Crude oil is stuck near $110 because of US-Iran issues, which keeps inflation high everywhere. Since India imports most of its oil, this is really bad news for us. On top of that, the Rupee just hit a new record low of 96.35 against the dollar. Because of this and rising interest rates, don't expect traders to take big risks today. Nifty closed around 23650 yesterday. We might open slightly up, but for the market to actually stay up, we need regular stocks to join the rally, not just the top few heavyweights. Until oil and the Rupee calm down, the overall market will probably stay bumpy, so it's better to just focus on specific stocks instead of expecting the whole market to go up.
