Pre Market of Indian stock Market & Global Cues review - 09 March, 2026

Global risk sentiment has sharply deteriorated after the weekend escalation in the Middle East. Crude is the immediate shock variable. Brent jumping above $119 with a massive spike is pushing inflation and geopolitical risk straight back into the conversation. At the same time US yields are firming and the dollar has strengthened, tightening the overall global liquidity tone. Equity futures in the US are deeply negative and Asian markets are seeing heavy drawdowns across the board, with several indices losing 5–8% early in the session. Gift Nifty is indicating a sharp gap-down start for India, nearly 3–4% below the previous close of 24,450. If panic selling expands after the open, volatility could dominate the early hours. Markets will closely watch whether buyers step in around the 23,600–23,800 region or if risk aversion continues to drive further unwinding.
