Stocks in focus - Quarterly Earnings Wrap: Winners and Losers

Earnings season has delivered a mixed picture for investors. On the positive side, a few companies posted strong growth. Inox Wind led the pack with profit jumping 134% and revenue rising nearly 30%. Zaggle Prepaid also impressed with a 56% surge in profit and over 30% growth in revenue. Jyoti Structures more than doubled its profit while revenue soared 77%, and Indo Rama Synthetics returned to profitability with a healthy 38% revenue increase. However, several companies disappointed with weak numbers. Glenmark Pharma saw its profit collapse by 86% due to an exceptional loss, while Vodafone Idea’s already steep losses widened further to over ₹6,600 crore despite higher revenue. Spandana Sphoorty slipped into a heavy ₹360 crore loss, hurt by a sharp fall in net interest income and higher provisions. Travel and industrial players also faced pressure. Easy Trip Planners reported a near wipeout in profit, down 99%, with revenue also falling. Jindal Poly Films saw profit shrink 85% alongside lower sales, while Swan Energy posted a 90% profit decline despite slightly higher revenue. Fertilizer major National Fertilizers also struggled, as losses deepened and revenue fell more than 30%. Overall, the results highlight a clear divide. Renewable energy and fintech players are showing resilience and growth, while pharma, telecom, fertilizers, and some financial firms remain under stress. Investors can expect sharp stock movements as the market reacts to these contrasting performances.
