Title: RailTel wins new orders worth ₹18 crore – Stock in Focus
RailTel Corporation of India, a government-owned company under the Ministry of Railways, is once again in the news after winning a new order worth ₹18 crore. This order has come from the Centre for e-Governance (CeG), Karnataka. RailTel will provide technical support for network equipment (like routers and switches) used in KSWAN 2.0, which is Karnataka’s digital communication network. The company has to complete this project by November 8, 2025. This is not the only project RailTel has received recently. In the last few weeks, the company has bagged multiple orders: • A ₹16.3 crore work order from RTNS Technology. • A ₹37.5 crore project from Visakhapatnam Port Authority to install smart video surveillance and Internet of Things (IoT) systems with a 5-year maintenance contract. • Two big orders from Bihar Education Project Council worth ₹50.6 crore and ₹970 crore. These continuous project wins show that RailTel is expanding its business strongly in both government and digital infrastructure sectors. On the stock market side, RailTel’s share price closed at ₹383.45, down by ₹7.45 or about 1.9% in the previous trading session. The stock had earlier touched a 52-week high of ₹478.80 and a low of ₹265.30. It is now trading around 20% below its highest price but still about 45% higher than its lowest level. With a market value of ₹12,306 crore, RailTel remains one of India’s key players in broadband, digital connectivity, and e-governance services.
