Top Losers 🔻 Airline & Travel Stocks: A London-bound Air India flight crashed, affecting sentiment. • IndiGo: -3% • SpiceJet: -1.5% • Ixigo, Thomas Cook: -4% • TBO Tek, Mahindra Holidays: Down 2.5–3% Paytm: fell -7% • Down 10% earlier, after Finance Ministry denied MDR charges on UPI • Panic selling followed earlier media speculation. BSE Ltd.: • Down 4.5%, second day in a row. • Put under ASM (Additional Surveillance Measure) – means tighter trading rules due to volatility. Dabur: • Down 3% as FMCG sector cooled off after a rally. IT Stocks – Coforge, Infosys: • Down ~2% due to global uncertainty and possible tariff rules. Defence Stocks – GRSE, Mazagon Dock: • Profit booking caused GRSE to fall 4% and Mazagon over 3%. Top Gainer Asian Paints: • Up 2%, biggest jump in a month but didn’t sustain and closed with +0.5%. • Due to a big block deal worth ₹7,703 Cr where 3.5 Cr shares exchanged hands at ₹2,201/share. Bottom Line: • A mix of global tensions, market panic, and profit booking dragged markets. • Travel, fintech, and defence stocks fell the most. • Only a few like Asian Paints stood out with gains.
