Unpopular opinion

A stock hitting a new 52-week high is often safer than a stock hitting a new 52-week low. The first usually has strong earnings, momentum and institutional participation. The second often has a reason behind the weakness. Price alone doesn't decide whether a stock is expensive or cheap.
