Waaree Energies Plans Greenfield Facility, Approves ₹8,000 Cr Battery Capacity Expansion

Waaree Energies is in discussions with the Government of Andhra Pradesh and other state governments to set up a proposed greenfield manufacturing facility, indicating expansion plans in the clean energy space. Earlier in October 2025, the company approved a major capacity expansion in its wholly owned subsidiary Waaree Energy Storage Solutions, increasing lithium-ion advanced chemistry cell and BESS manufacturing capacity from 3.5 GWh to 20 GWh. The expansion involves an additional capital expenditure of around ₹8,000 crore, strengthening Waaree’s long-term positioning in the battery storage and renewable energy ecosystem.
