What is long-term alternative for India's energy crisis?

Just a thought. Recent oil and gas disruptions once again showed how exposed India is to global energy shocks. So what’s the long-term alternative? India’s energy transition strategy is gradually shifting toward domestic, non-fossil sources: • Solar & Wind – huge potential with ~300 sunny days a year • Green Hydrogen – targeted for steel, chemicals and fertilizers • Electric Mobility (EVs) – to reduce crude oil demand in transport • Nuclear Power – stable baseload to complement renewables • Biofuels – ethanol blending target of 20% by 2030 But the transition is not simple. Key challenges: • Massive grid and storage infrastructure needed for renewables • High capital costs for green hydrogen and nuclear expansion • Dependence on imported critical minerals for batteries and solar modules • Managing the shift without disrupting industrial energy supply Expected milestones: • By 2030: Target 500 GW non-fossil capacity • By 2047: Energy independence vision • By 2070: Net-zero emissions goal Energy transitions take decades. But the faster India diversifies its energy mix, the less vulnerable it becomes to oil supply shocks and geopolitical disruptions. #EnergyTransition #IndianEconomy #RenewableEnergy #EnergySecurity #IndianStockMarket
