Zydus in Focus as USFDA Issues 3 Observations at Ankleshwar Plant
Zydus Lifesciences is in focus after the USFDA issued three observations following an inspection at the company’s Unit-2 manufacturing facility in Ankleshwar, Gujarat, conducted from January 19–23, 2026. The company clarified that none of the observations are related to data integrity and stated it will work closely with the USFDA to resolve them quickly. On the positive side, Zydus recently launched the world’s first biosimilar of Nivolumab in India under the brand Tishtha, priced at ₹28,950 (100 mg) and ₹13,950 (40 mg), strengthening its oncology portfolio. In the last session, the stock closed at ₹881.95, down 0.33%. The 52-week high is ₹1,059 and low is ₹797.05. The stock is currently about 17% below its high and around 11% above its low. With a market capitalisation of about ₹88,745 crore, the update keeps the stock in focus, though the observations are manageable and not data-related.
