Zydus Lifesciences Enters US Biosimilars Space with Bioeq Partnership as FDA Approves NUFYMCO

Zydus Lifesciences has entered into a strategic partnership with Swiss biopharmaceutical firm Bioeq AG to commercialise NUFYMCO in the US market. NUFYMCO is a VEGF inhibitor biosimilar of Lucentis (Ranibizumab), and its Biologics License Application has been approved by the US Food and Drug Administration on December 18, 2025. Under the agreement, Bioeq will handle development, manufacturing, and supply, while Zydus will manage US commercialisation through its subsidiary Zydus Lifesciences Global FZE (UAE). The partnership strengthens Zydus’ US biosimilars portfolio and adds a near-term commercial opportunity in ophthalmology. Recently, Zydus also expanded its footprint by partnering with Myriad Genetics to bring advanced cancer diagnostics to India, and its US arm Sentynl Therapeutics saw the FDA accept the resubmission of CUTX-101 for treating Menkes disease. Overall, these developments highlight Zydus’ steady push in specialty products, diagnostics, and regulated markets.
