KOTAKBANK
] reported a 29.5% rise in Q2 FY27 standalone profit to Rs 4,212 crore on 24 October, after the market closed. The stock last closed at Rs 430.50, down 1.49%. Net interest income grew 15.7% to Rs 8,459 crore and operating profit rose 21.1% to Rs 6,382.2 crore. Gross NPA eased to 1.04% from 1.18% in Q1, and net NPA to 0.24% from 0.27%. Net interest margin narrowed to 4.31% from 4.53% in Q1 as FCNR(B) deposits came in. The chart shows higher highs and higher lows since the March low near Rs 345, and price is approaching the all-time high near Rs 461. Support is Rs 390. Resistance is Rs 461. A close above Rs 461 would confirm a breakout to new highs. A close below Rs 390 would break the higher-low sequence. The margin dip is the key watch item, since its deposit growth excluding FCNR(B) was 13% against 23% reported. RSI is 51.74, below its average of 63.50, so momentum has cooled from the recent push. Volume near Rs 461 is key. Disclosure: I do not hold any position in this stock. This is not a recommendation to buy or sell. Investments in securities markets are subject to market risks.
