Berger Paints India Ltd reported a surprise decline in its Q2 FY26 net profit

BERGEPAINT
reported a surprise decline in its Q2 FY26 net profit, which fell 23.5% year-on-year to ₹206.38 crore. The drop was mainly attributed to weak demand caused by an extended monsoon season, which dampened retail consumer activities like painting projects. Despite the profit decline, revenue from operations rose slightly by 1.9% to ₹2,827.49 crore. EBITDA decreased by 18.9% to ₹352.3 crore due to a negative scale effect and an unfavorable product mix with lower sales in the exterior paints segment and increased investments in brand building. The company’s gross margin stood at 39.6%, slightly down from 40.4% a year ago. Shares closed at ₹536 on November 4, 2025, down about 0.58% following the earnings announcement.
