Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (HAL) Get New Order

The Ministry of Defence inked a ₹62,370 crore (~$7.4 billion) contract with HAL for supplying 97 Tejas Mk-1A Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) to the Indian Air Force (IAF). This follows a prior order for 83 jets and aims to phase out the aging MiG-21 fleet.
