TATASTEEL
The Supreme Court has quashed a ₹890.52 crore tax demand and penalty against Tata Steel, a significant regulatory relief for the company. Separately, Tata Steel disclosed that it received its first order for a new product, marking a commercial milestone for its newer offerings. In broader group news, media reports on September 5 said the Tata Sons board has narrowed the search for N Chandrasekaran’s successor to three leaders, with Tata Steel CEO & MD T V Narendran emerging as a key internal contender alongside Saurabh Agrawal and NSE’s Ashish Chauhan. On the market front, Tata Steel shares rose about 2.5% to ₹188.79 on September 4, trading in a range of roughly ₹182.84–₹189.90, and have gained about 2.4% over the past week.
