🌱 Adani Green Surpasses 15,000 MW Renewable Capacity, Sets New National Benchmark

**Ahmedabad, June 30, 2025** – Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL), India’s largest renewable energy company, has achieved a major milestone by surpassing 15,000 MW of installed renewable energy capacity. With a total operational capacity of **15,539.9 megawatts (MW)**, AGEL now holds the record for the fastest and largest renewable capacity build-up in India. The company added over **3,309 MW in FY25 alone**, the highest by any Indian renewable energy player in a single year. Its operational portfolio includes approximately **11,005.5 MW of solar**, **1,977.8 MW of wind**, and **2,556.6 MW of hybrid capacity**. One of the key contributors to this growth has been the **Khavda Renewable Energy Park** in Gujarat, where **5,355.9 MW** has already been commissioned. Once completed, the **Khavda project will be the world’s largest renewable power plant** with a capacity of **30,000 MW** over 538 sq. km—an area five times the size of Paris. Speaking on this achievement, **Ashish Khanna**, CEO of AGEL, said, > "Surpassing the 15,000 MW milestone is a moment of immense pride. Inspired by Mr. Gautam Adani’s vision, we aim to reach 50,000 MW by 2030 and drive the global renewable transition." AGEL’s green energy output now powers over **7.9 million Indian homes**, offsetting nearly **28.6 million tonnes of COā‚‚ emissions annually**—the equivalent of taking **6.3 million cars off the road** or the carbon absorption of **1.36 billion trees**. The company’s entire portfolio is **certified water positive**, **zero waste-to-landfill**, and **single-use plastic free**. It has also been ranked No. 1 in the NSE’s ESG ratings for the power sector and tops the **FTSE Russell ESG score globally** in the Alternative Electricity Subsector. AGEL’s relentless growth underscores its pivotal role in helping India meet its **500 GW non-fossil fuel target by 2030**, positioning the Adani Group as a global clean energy powerhouse.
