Adani Ports Delivers Record Cargo Volumes in May 2025, Up 17% YoY
Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Ltd. (APSEZ) reported a historic operational performance for May 2025, handling 41.8 MMT of cargo, a 17% YoY increase — the highest ever for a single month. The growth was driven by a 22% rise in container volumes and 17% growth in dry cargo, reflecting strong demand across key trade segments.
For the YTD FY26 (up to May), APSEZ managed 79.3 MMT, marking a 10% YoY increase. Container traffic continued to lead with a robust 21% YoY surge, signaling APSEZ’s increasing dominance in India’s EXIM container trade.
In logistics, rail volumes stood at 0.06 million TEUs (+13% YoY) in May, and GPWIS volumes were at 2.01 MMT (+4% YoY). Cumulative rail and GPWIS volumes also saw healthy growth, indicating increased multi-modal efficiency and customer retention.
