Adani Ports Expands Global Footprint with 12 New Singapore Subsidiaries
Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Ltd (APSEZ) has announced the incorporation of 12 new step-down subsidiaries in Singapore, marking another step in its global expansion strategy. The disclosure was made on February 16, 2026, under Regulation 30 of SEBI’s Listing Regulations.
The entities have been incorporated by Astro Worldwide Investment Limited, BVI — a wholly owned subsidiary of Sunrise Worldwide Enterprise Limited, BVI. The Adani Harbour International DMCC, a step-down subsidiary of APSEZ, holds an 80% stake in the holding structure.
All 12 companies have been established in Singapore as wholly owned subsidiaries, each with an authorised and paid-up share capital of 50,000 shares of SGD 1 each. The companies are yet to commence operations and currently report nil turnover. These entities are expected to operate in the marine and harbour sector, aligning with APSEZ’s core port and logistics business.
No regulatory approvals, acquisition costs, or related-party transaction implications were involved in the incorporation.
Strategically, Singapore’s position as a global maritime hub could provide APSEZ with enhanced access to international shipping routes, trade infrastructure opportunities, and potential global partnerships, reinforcing its long-term international growth ambitions.
