Bharti Airtel Delivers Robust FY25 Performance with 4.4x Surge in Net Profit, Declares ₹16 Dividend

Bharti Airtel Delivers Robust FY25 Performance with 4.4x Surge in Net Profit, Declares ₹16 Dividend Bharti Airtel has reported a strong set of numbers for the financial year ended March 31, 2025, underpinned by sustained revenue growth and significant bottom-line expansion. The telecom giant clocked consolidated revenue of ₹1.73 trillion for FY25, marking a healthy year-on-year increase of approximately 15% from ₹1.5 trillion in FY24. This growth was driven by consistent momentum across India mobile services, Africa operations, and enterprise and home broadband segments. Net profit for the full year stood at ₹374.8 billion, a staggering 4.4x jump from ₹85.6 billion in the previous year. This sharp rise, while reflecting underlying operational improvements, was also aided by a one-time deferred tax benefit recognized in the fourth quarter. For Q4 FY25 alone, the company reported a net profit of ₹124.8 billion, benefiting not only from the tax credit but also from lower exceptional losses during the quarter. Reflecting its robust financial health and confidence in future earnings, the Board of Directors has recommended a final dividend of ₹16 per fully paid equity share of face value ₹5 each. Additionally, a dividend of ₹4 has been proposed for partly paid equity shares (₹1.25 paid-up value). These dividends are subject to shareholder approval at the upcoming Annual General Meeting.
