Bosch Limited Announces Joint Venture with TSF Group Companies to Strengthen Commercial Vehicle Air Systems

Bosch Limited along with Brakes India Private Limited and Wheels India Limited have announced a strategic joint venture aimed at accelerating growth in advanced air systems for commercial vehicles. The partnership will operate as a 50:50 joint venture between Bosch and the TSF Group companies and is expected to commence operations by the end of 2026, subject to regulatory approvals. The proposed venture will focus on engineering, manufacturing, and sales of electronically controlled and software-driven modules including: * Air compression systems * Air processing systems * Electronic air suspension systems * Air parking brake systems The joint venture will have its registered office in Chennai, while the global supply chain operations, including India, will be jointly managed by Bosch, Brakes India, and Wheels India entities. Guruprasad Mudlapur stated that the collaboration represents a major step toward shaping the future of intelligent air systems in commercial vehicles by integrating advanced engineering and manufacturing capabilities. Sandeep Nelamangala highlighted that the commercial vehicle industry is transitioning rapidly from mechanical hardware toward software-driven architecture, making air systems a critical extension of Bosch’s motion management portfolio. From the TSF Group side, Sriram Viji emphasized the growing demand for electronically controlled braking systems in future mobility solutions, while Srivats Ram noted the company’s three-decade leadership in air suspension systems for buses in India. The boards of all three companies have already approved the transaction.
