**Central Bank of India Delivers Strong Q1 FY26 Performance with Improved Profitability and Asset Quality**

Central Bank of India has announced robust financial results for the quarter ended June 30, 2025, reflecting strong business momentum and significant improvement in asset quality. The bank reported a **32.84% year-on-year jump in net profit**, reaching ₹1,169 crore, compared to ₹880 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. Operating profit also rose by **15.60% to ₹2,304 crore**, underscoring operational efficiency. Total business expanded by **10.84% YoY to ₹7,04,485 crore**, driven by an **11.41% rise in total deposits** to ₹4,28,890 crore. CASA deposits grew by **6.17%**, standing at ₹2,00,522 crore and forming **46.88% of total deposits**, a healthy sign of liquidity strength. The bank’s asset quality continued to improve, with **Gross NPA declining to 3.13%** from 4.54%, while **Net NPA improved to 0.49%** from 0.73%. Provision Coverage Ratio (PCR) stood strong at **97.02%**. Key return ratios also saw an uptick — **Return on Assets (ROA) rose to 1.02%** and **Return on Equity (ROE) to 14.17%**.
