Delhivery Launches ‘Freight Index One’ to Enhance Transparency in India’s Logistics Sector

Bengaluru, November 5, 2025 — Delhivery Limited, India’s largest fully integrated logistics service provider, has launched **‘Freight Index One’**, an open digital platform designed to bring **greater transparency and efficiency** to freight pricing in the Indian logistics ecosystem. The platform provides **historical, current, and forward Full Truckload (FTL) freight rate estimates** across major trucking lanes for both open and closed container vehicles. This allows transporters, fleet owners, shippers, and logistics partners to benchmark lane-level pricing and plan better during periods of fluctuating demand. According to **Rohan Anand**, Head of Data Science at Delhivery, India currently lacks freight indices similar to the **Cass Freight Index** and **Freightos Baltic Index (FBX)**, leading to inefficiencies and pricing asymmetries. “Freight Index One is modeled on nearly a decade of Delhivery’s internal market intelligence, incorporating data on fuel prices, tolls, seasonality, and route economics,” he said. **Kapil Bharati**, Chief Technology Officer at Delhivery, added that the index will evolve through **collaboration with freight brokers, shippers, and 3PL players**, making it a reliable tool for market benchmarking and negotiation. Users can sign up to access the platform at [***** while partnership queries can be directed to [Partner@***** Delhivery operates across **18,800+ pin codes** and has fulfilled **over 3.6 billion shipments**, serving more than **44,000 customers** nationwide. *Disclosure: This article is for informational purposes only and not a recommendation to buy or sell any securities.* #Delhivery #FreightIndexOne #Logistics #Innovation #FinArticle #Transparency
