Eicher Motors’ VECV Passes Full GST Cut Benefit to Customers Amid Festive Season

New Delhi, September 10, 2025 VE Commercial Vehicles (VECV), the joint venture between Eicher Motors Limited and the Volvo Group, has announced that it will pass on the entire benefit of the recent GST reduction on commercial vehicles to its customers. Starting September 22, 2025, coinciding with the start of Navratri, customers purchasing Eicher’s trucks and buses will benefit from lower acquisition costs, with savings ranging from Rs. 1 lakh to Rs. 6 lakhs depending on the vehicle segment. The GST rate on diesel, CNG, and LNG-powered trucks and buses has been reduced from 28% to 18%, while electric vehicles continue to enjoy the favorable 5% GST rate. The decision aligns with the government’s PM Gati Shakti initiative aimed at improving logistics efficiency and lowering transportation costs.
