🔥 From Loss To ₹1,041 Crore Profit — Steel Giant Delivers Massive Turnaround!
Jindal Steel Limited has reported one of its strongest quarters in recent years, driven by record production, robust sales growth and aggressive capacity expansion.
After posting a loss in the year-ago quarter, the company bounced back sharply with Q4FY26 PAT of ₹1,041 crore. Operational momentum remained exceptionally strong as EBITDA surged 66% QoQ to ₹2,647 crore.
📈 Key Q4FY26 Highlights:
• Revenue: ₹19,399 Cr (+28% QoQ, +25% YoY)
• EBITDA: ₹2,647 Cr (+66% QoQ)
• PAT: ₹1,041 Cr vs ₹304 Cr loss YoY
• Steel Production: 2.65 MT (Record High)
• Steel Sales: 2.62 MT (+23% YoY)
But the real story lies beyond quarterly numbers.
FY26 marked a transformational year for Jindal Steel as the company successfully commissioned:
✅ 4.6 MTPA Blast Furnace
✅ 3 MTPA BOF2
✅ 3 MTPA BOF3
This pushed total crude steel capacity to 15.6 MTPA — setting the stage for the next growth cycle.
The company also strengthened its balance sheet with Net Debt/EBITDA improving to 1.66x despite heavy capex spending. Meanwhile, value-added steel contribution rose to 61%, indicating improving product mix and profitability quality.
Adding to the positive momentum, the board recommended a final dividend of ₹2/share.
With new capacities ramping up, iron ore security improving and domestic steel demand remaining resilient, FY27 could become a defining year for the company’s growth trajectory.
📊 Record volumes. Expanding capacity. Improving margins.
The steel major appears to be entering a new phase of scale-driven growth.
