GMR Airports Sees Mixed July 2025 Traffic; Hyderabad, Goa Outshine

GMR Airports reported handling **39.4 million passengers YTD FY26**, a modest **1.5% YoY growth**, with domestic traffic up 0.9% and international traffic up 3.4%. Performance varied across locations. **Delhi Airport** saw a **3.1% YTD drop** to 24.9 million passengers, as runway upgrades and temporary disruptions hit domestic volumes, partly offset by a 1.2% rise in international traffic. **Hyderabad Airport** delivered standout results — **14.7% YTD growth** to 10.5 million passengers — achieving record traffic and aircraft movements, supported by strong international demand (+12.6% YoY in July). **Mopa (Goa)** maintained momentum with 7.2% YTD growth, driven by a **102.6% surge** in international passengers. Outside India, **Medan Airport** fell 2.8% YTD due to aircraft supply constraints, while **Cebu Airport** declined 0.5%. Cargo operations remained strong. Delhi retained its crown as India’s top cargo hub for a second year, crossing **1 million metric tonnes**, while Hyderabad launched **India’s first cargo loyalty program**. On the non-aero front, GMR took over Delhi Duty Free operations and expanded retail, F\&B, and self-service offerings. Sustainability milestones included Delhi’s Net Zero Waste certification and awards for Hyderabad. Overall, strong growth at Hyderabad and Goa offset Delhi’s slowdown, underscoring GMR’s resilience and focus on diversification, passenger experience, and cargo leadership.
