HDFC Bank Delivers Strong Q3 FY26 Results with Double-Digit Profit Growth
HDFC Bank announced its unaudited standalone and consolidated financial results for the quarter and nine months ended December 31, 2025, approved by the board on January 17, 2026. The bank reported steady growth across profitability, balance sheet expansion, and asset quality.
On a standalone basis, Q3 FY26 net profit rose 11.5% year-on-year to ₹18,654 crore, while nine-month profit increased to ₹55,450 crore. Total income for the quarter stood at ₹90,005 crore, led by interest income of ₹76,751 crore. Asset quality remained stable, with gross NPAs at 1.24% and net NPAs at 0.42%. The capital adequacy ratio stood at a healthy 19.87%.
The balance sheet continued to grow, with total assets reaching ₹40.89 lakh crore as of December 31, 2025. Deposits rose to ₹28.60 lakh crore, while loan growth was driven by strong momentum in SME and wholesale segments, along with steady retail expansion.
On a consolidated basis, Q3 net profit increased 12.2% to ₹19,807 crore. Total income reached ₹1.27 lakh crore, supported by meaningful contributions from insurance and other group businesses. Group assets crossed ₹46.26 lakh crore, underlining the bank’s strong franchise and diversified business model.
Overall, the results highlight HDFC Bank’s consistent execution, robust balance sheet, and disciplined risk management amid a dynamic macro environment.
