📌 Infosys Q1 FY26 Result – A Stable Start with Select Positives**
Infosys posted a resilient Q1 FY26 performance, with net profit rising 8.7% YoY to ₹6,921 crore, marginally above Street estimates. Revenue came in at ₹42,279 crore, up 8.1% YoY, reflecting steady execution despite a challenging macro environment. Constant currency growth of 3.8% YoY was moderate, but within expectations.
The company maintained operating margins at 20.8%, showing cost control even as wage hikes and deal transition expenses played out. Notably, large deal wins totaled \$3.8 billion, with 55% being net new, reinforcing client confidence and strong positioning in digital and AI-led transformation.
However, hiring remained muted, with a net addition of just 210 employees, highlighting Infosys’ cautious approach amid uncertain global tech spends. Attrition remained steady at 14.4%, a comforting sign of talent retention.
Importantly, the company narrowed its FY26 revenue growth guidance to 1–3%, reflecting improved visibility, while reiterating its margin outlook of 20–22%.
While not an outsized quarter, Q1 reflects Infosys’ operational discipline and steady footing. The near-term outlook remains cautious but stable, with large deals and a robust BFSI pipeline offering visibility.
