Infosys Wins £1.2 Billion NHS Transformation Deal
Bengaluru, October 14, 2025 — Infosys Ltd has secured a £1.2 billion (₹12,000 crore), 15-year contract from the NHS Business Services Authority (NHSBSA) to build a next-generation workforce management platform for the National Health Service (NHS) in England and Wales — one of its largest public sector deals in Europe.
Infosys will replace the existing Electronic Staff Record (ESR) and manage payroll for 1.9 million employees, handling over £55 billion annually. The AI-powered, cloud-based system will streamline HR, recruitment, and payroll functions while supporting the NHS 10-Year Health Plan.
Infosys Topaz AI will drive automation and user-centric design, helping NHS staff save time and focus more on patient care.
Michael Brodie, CEO of NHSBSA, said the project is key to realizing the NHS’s future vision. Salil Parekh, CEO of Infosys, highlighted the deal as a milestone in Infosys’s mission to deliver AI-led digital transformation globally.
