### 🔋 **JSW Energy Commissions First Unit of Kutehr Hydro Project**
**Mumbai, August 2, 2025** —
JSW Energy Limited has successfully **commissioned the first 80 MW unit** of its 240 MW (3x80 MW) **Kutehr Hydro Electric Project** in **Chamba, Himachal Pradesh**. Power supply to **Haryana Power Purchase Centre (HPPC)** has commenced under a **35-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA)** with a levelized ceiling tariff of ₹4.50/kWh.
* **Second unit (80 MW)** has been synchronized with the grid and is under **trial run**.
* **Third unit** commissioning is **in progress**.
**Key Highlights:**
* Among the **fastest built greenfield hydro projects** in India.
* Power will supply **Uttar & Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigams**.
* **Hydro installed capacity** rises to **1,471 MW**; **Total renewables** now form **56%** of JSW Energy’s capacity.
**JSW Energy’s Future Goals:**
* Total **generation capacity** target: **30 GW by FY2030**
* **Energy storage capacity** target: **40 GWh** (including 29.4 GWh locked-in)
* **Carbon Neutrality by 2050**
