L&T Finance Reports Record Profit and Crosses ₹1 Lakh Crore Retail Book in Q2 FY26

Mumbai, October 15: L&T Finance Limited (LTF) delivered its strongest quarterly performance yet, posting a record profit after tax (PAT) of ₹735 crore for Q2 FY26, marking a 5% sequential and 6% annual rise. The company’s retail loan book surpassed ₹1 lakh crore, touching ₹1,04,607 crore, up 18% year-on-year, reaffirming its transformation into a high-quality retail-focused financier under its Lakshya 2026 roadmap. Total disbursements surged to ₹18,883 crore, a 25% YoY jump, led by robust growth across personal loans, SME, home loans, and rural finance. The personal loan portfolio doubled to ₹10,878 crore, supported by digital partnerships, including a new tie-up with Google Pay for loan origination. Asset quality remained strong, with Gross Stage 3 at 3.29% and Net Stage 3 at 1.00%, reflecting prudent risk management. During the quarter, S&P Global Ratings upgraded LTF’s credit rating to BBB/Stable, while Fitch assigned BBB- (Stable), placing the NBFC at par with India’s sovereign rating — a boost to its global funding prospects. The company also launched the beta version of Project Nostradamus, an AI-driven portfolio monitoring system, and expanded the PLANET app, which crossed 2 crore downloads and ₹6,400 crore in collections. Managing Director & CEO Sudipta Roy said the quarter’s strong results underscore LTF’s execution focus and digital transformation momentum.
