Lupin Launches Liraglutide Injection in the U.S. Market
Mumbai, October 3, 2025 – Lupin Limited has announced the launch of Liraglutide Injection, 18 mg/3 mL (6 mg/mL) Single-Patient-Use Prefilled Pen, in the United States. The product is the generic equivalent of Victoza® Injection by Novo Nordisk Inc., and is indicated as an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycemic control in adults and pediatric patients aged 10 years and older with type 2 diabetes mellitus.
According to IQVIA data, the reference drug Victoza® reported annual U.S. sales of approximately USD 350 million as of August 2025.
