🌏 Marico Expands in Vietnam with Skinetiq Acquisition
Marico Limited has successfully completed the acquisition of a **75% stake in Skinetiq Joint Stock Company**, marking a strategic expansion in the Southeast Asian market. The transaction, executed through its wholly owned subsidiary, Marico South East Asia Corporation (MSEA), strengthens the company’s presence in Vietnam’s fast-growing beauty and personal care segment.
Skinetiq owns the **digital-first skincare brand ‘Candid’** and holds exclusive distribution rights in Vietnam for the global skincare brand **Murad**. With this acquisition, Skinetiq has now become a subsidiary of MSEA and, consequently, of Marico.
This move aligns with Marico’s long-term strategy of scaling its **digital-first and premium personal care portfolio**. Vietnam represents a high-growth market with increasing demand for skincare products, driven by rising disposable incomes and growing consumer awareness.
From an investor perspective, the acquisition enhances Marico’s international growth prospects and diversifies its revenue base. However, execution, integration, and competitive dynamics in a new market will be key factors to monitor.
Overall, the deal reflects Marico’s continued focus on expanding its global footprint in the beauty and wellness space.
