Maruti Suzuki Reports Sales of 1.81 Lakh Units in August 2025 New Delhi, September 1, 2025 – Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL), the country’s largest passenger carmaker, sold a total of 180,683 units in August 2025, compared to 181,782 units in August 2024, reflecting a marginal year-on-year dip. 📊 Sales Breakdown – August 2025 Domestic Passenger Vehicles (PV): 131,278 units (vs. 143,075 last year) Light Commercial Vehicle (Super Carry): 2,772 units (vs. 2,495 last year) Total Domestic Sales (PV + LCV): 134,050 units (vs. 145,570) Sales to Other OEMs: 10,095 units (vs. 10,209) Exports: 36,538 units (vs. 26,003) 👉 Total Sales: 180,683 units (vs. 181,782) 🚗 Segment Performance Mini (Alto, S-Presso): 6,853 units (sharp decline from 10,648) Compact (Baleno, Swift, WagonR, Dzire, Ignis, Celerio): 59,597 units (flat YoY) Mid-Size (Ciaz): Nil sales (vs. 707) Utility Vehicles (Brezza, Ertiga, Grand Vitara, Fronx, XL6, Jimny, Invicto): 54,043 units (down from 62,684) Vans (Eeco): 10,785 units (slightly lower vs. 10,985) 📈 Key Takeaways Exports surged 40% YoY to 36,538 units, offsetting domestic weakness. Domestic demand, especially in mini and UV segments, saw a noticeable decline.
