NALCO and IDCO Host Industry Roadshow to Promote Angul Aluminium Park

Bhubaneswar, September 24, 2025 – National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO), a Navratna CPSE under the Ministry of Mines, in collaboration with the Odisha Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation (IDCO), conducted an industry roadshow on September 23 to promote Angul Aluminium Park Pvt. Ltd. (AAPPL). The event brought together senior government officials, industry leaders, and potential investors to highlight AAPPL as a strategic aluminium hub and an investor-friendly industrial destination in Odisha. Key Highlights World-Class Infrastructure: The park spans 223 acres, offering robust road connectivity, power and water supply, transport links, administrative facilities, training centres, and laboratories. Plans are underway to expand the park to over 600 acres. Support for Downstream Industries: NALCO committed to supply 50,000 tonnes of hot metal annually, aimed at lowering costs and boosting competitiveness for ancillary manufacturers. Odisha’s Aluminium Strength: Despite contributing 72% of India’s primary aluminium output, Odisha’s downstream aluminium production remains underdeveloped. AAPPL seeks to close this gap. Industry Interest: Three industries have already established presence in the park, with four more in the pipeline. Policy Support: Presentations by IPICOL, NALCO, and JNARDDC highlighted investor-friendly policies, GST benefits, and central-state incentives to attract new investments. Case studies, including the success of the Gopalpur Industrial Park, were presented as benchmarks, with stakeholders expressing optimism that AAPPL could surpass these achievements.
