Nifty 50 Ends Higher by 200 Points, Closes at 25,244 — Bulls Regain Grip 25 June 2025
Indian equities ended on a strong note on Tuesday, with the benchmark Nifty 50 surging 200.40 points or 0.80% to close at 25,244.75. The index opened at 25,150.35 and maintained a positive trajectory throughout the session, trading in a tight range of 25,125 to 25,266.80. Strong buying in heavyweight stocks helped the index rebound after a mildly volatile start.
Market breadth favored the bulls, with pullers contributing +227.67 points while draggers shaved off just -27.46 points, resulting in a healthy net gain of over 200 points. This move keeps the index firmly near its 52-week high of 26,277.35, suggesting underlying strength in the ongoing rally.
From a valuation perspective, the Nifty’s trailing 12-month PE stands at 22.51, with EPS improving to ₹1,112.59 — a 5.77% YoY rise. The steady earnings growth is helping justify current valuations, though markets remain sensitive to global cues and macroeconomic developments.
With the broader trend staying bullish, analysts believe dips could continue to attract buyers. However, traders are advised to stay cautious ahead of month-end F&O expiry and U.S. economic data due later this week.
