Punjab National Bank Reports 14% YoY Rise in Q2 FY26 Net Profit to ₹4,904 Crore
New Delhi, October 18, 2025 – Punjab National Bank (PNB) announced strong financial results for the second quarter and first half of FY 2025–26, demonstrating robust profitability, improved asset quality, and continued digital expansion.
The bank’s Gross Global Business rose 10.6% YoY to ₹27.86 lakh crore, supported by broad-based growth in deposits and advances. Net profit increased 14% YoY to ₹4,904 crore in Q2 FY26, while operating profit stood at ₹7,227 crore, up 5.5% YoY. Asset quality showed significant improvement, with Gross NPA declining to 3.45% and Net NPA to 0.36%, compared with 4.48% and 0.46% a year earlier.
Global Deposits reached ₹16.17 lakh crore, and Global Advances ₹11.70 lakh crore, growing over 10% YoY. The RAM (Retail, Agriculture, MSME) segment rose 12.7% YoY, driven by a sharp rise in vehicle loans (+30.9%) and MSME credit (+18.6%). The CASA ratio improved to 37.29%, indicating a healthy deposit mix.
Profitability metrics remained strong, with RoA at 1.05%, RoE at 17.95%, and CRAR at 17.19%. PNB’s digital push continued with 31% YoY growth in digital transactions to 313 crore, and rising engagement through WhatsApp Banking and PNB One.
PNB received multiple recognitions, including the SKOCH Silver Award 2025 and ICC Emerging Asia Banking Award for AI/ML excellence.
