RVNL Q3 FY26 Results: Stable Quarter with Mixed Signals overall disappoints
Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) announced its Q3 FY26 financial results, reflecting a mixed but stable performance. On a standalone basis, revenue from operations stood at ₹4,503.97 crore, marginally lower by 1.9% year-on-year. Net profit came in at ₹264.23 crore, down 10.4% YoY, while earnings per share (EPS) declined to ₹1.27 from ₹1.41 last year. The numbers indicate moderate pressure on profitability compared to the previous year.
On a quarter-on-quarter basis, performance improved significantly. PAT jumped 34.7% QoQ from ₹196.11 crore in Q2 FY26, although revenue declined 8.7% sequentially. This suggests better cost control and margin recovery rather than strong top-line growth.
Consolidated performance was comparatively better. Revenue grew 2.6% YoY to ₹4,684.46 crore, while consolidated PAT increased 4% YoY to ₹324.14 crore. EPS improved to ₹1.55, showing healthy contributions from joint ventures and subsidiaries.
For the nine months ended December 2025, standalone PAT declined 27.8% YoY, highlighting a slower year overall. However, the company rewarded shareholders with an interim dividend of ₹1 per share, reflecting confidence in cash flows.
Overall, RVNL delivered a steady quarter with sequential improvement, but annual growth remains modest. The company continues to benefit from strong government focus on railway infrastructure, supporting long-term business visibility.
