**🚆 RVNL Secures Southern Railway Electrification Upgrade Contract**

Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) has received a **Letter of Acceptance (LOA)** from **Southern Railway** for a significant electrification upgrade project. 🔹 **Project Scope**: Upgrade of the electric traction system from **1x25 kV to 2x25 kV** in the following sections: * **Salem Jn. (SA) – Podanur Jn. (PTJ)** * **Irugur (IGU) – Coimbatore Jn. (CBE) – Podanur Jn. (PTJ)** (All part of Salem Division, Southern Railway) 🔹 **Purpose**: To support a **3000 MT loading target**, enhancing rail freight capacity and efficiency. 🔹 The project falls under RVNL’s **normal course of business**. 📌 This development strengthens RVNL’s role in railway infrastructure modernization and electrification efforts across India.
