The **Sensex climbed 513 points (0.61%)** to end at **85,186.47**, while the **Nifty 50 advanced 143 points (0.55%)** to settle at **26,052.65**, reclaiming the 26,000 level. Broader market performance was mixed — the **BSE Midcap index gained around 0.34%**, whereas the **Smallcap index declined nearly 0.39%**, signalling selective buying across sectors. On the other hand, **Tata Motors PV, Maruti Suzuki, Adani Ports, Bajaj Finance, and Asian Paints** witnessed mild pressure. Market sentiment improved following optimism over a potential **India–US trade pact**, while analysts noted that Nifty is now approaching an important resistance zone just above **26,000**, with **25,800–25,850** acting as immediate support.
