**Tata Power Q1 FY26 Results: Profit Rises 6%, Clean Energy Push Continues**

*August 1, 2025* Tata Power reported a consolidated net profit of ₹1,262 crore for Q1 FY26, marking a 6% year-on-year increase, driven by strong performance in its renewables and transmission businesses. Revenue from operations rose 4.3% YoY to ₹18,035 crore, supported by a sharp 52% jump in renewable energy revenue, which stood at ₹3,626 crore for the quarter. The company’s Transmission & Distribution segment remained the largest contributor, generating over ₹10,000 crore in revenue. Segment profits also surged, with renewables posting ₹1,125 crore in profit, a significant rise from ₹631 crore in the same quarter last year. Despite an arbitration ruling against the company in Singapore, where it was directed to pay \$490 million to Kleros Capital, Tata Power stated that it has strong legal grounds to challenge the award and has not made any financial provision in this regard. Auditors noted the matter but did not modify their opinion. The company continues its clean energy expansion, including a recent ₹120 crore investment for a 40% stake in Bhutan’s Khorlochhu Hydro Power project. CEO Praveer Sinha emphasized Tata Power’s commitment to sustainable growth, supported by stable margins and operational efficiency. The board also approved a final dividend of ₹2.25 per share for FY25.
