**Titagarh Rail Systems Bags ₹2,481 Crore Mumbai Metro Line 5 Contract**

Kolkata, October 31, 2025 — **Titagarh Rail Systems Limited (TRSL)**, one of India’s leading rolling stock manufacturers, has won a major contract from the **Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA)** for the **Mumbai Metro Line 5** project. The order is valued at approximately **₹2,481 crore plus GST** and covers the **design, manufacture, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning** of metro coaches and critical systems. The project involves supplying **132 driverless metro coaches**, along with **signalling, telecommunications, platform screen doors**, and **depot machinery**. It also includes **five years of comprehensive maintenance**, covering both **Phase 1 (Kapur Bawdi–Kasheli–Dhamankar Naka)** and **Phase 2 (Dhamankar Naka–Bhiwandi–Kalyan APMC)** of the Mumbai Metro Line 5 corridor. This is **Titagarh’s second major Mumbai Metro contract**, following its earlier order for Metro Line 6, reinforcing the company’s position as a key player in India’s urban transit ecosystem.
